Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, 4a Castletown Road, London W14 9HQ
Exhibition in aid of the London Chapter of the charity ASHA for Education.
This exhibition was conceived of by three artist friends who share a passion for India. Through painting, print, sculpture and photography The artists aim to convey something of the exotic maelstrom that continues to fascinate and absorb them all. A percentage of the proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to the charity Asha for Education.  Asha, which means hope in Hindi, was founded in 1991 by a small group of Indian born students at the University of California. They set up a voluntary charity focusing on the development of basic education in rural areas, in this way they could play role in the development of modern India. From those small beginnings Asha has grown into a highly effective and successful organisation with 66 chapters worldwide. Each one is  staffed by volunteers and concentrates on education and other connected problems such as women’s issues and health care, the separate groups of volunteers  work in rural communities all over India.
