I painted this triptych intending for it to hang together. This is another visual reaction to this horrible year of Covid 19. The painting expresses the confusion, disorientation and feeling of life upended. I wanted to give the impression of a nonsensical type of board game where nothing is making much sense, we are no longer grounded and life has become a maze or a labyrinth of disparate elements. Disjointed thoughts and broken dreams. Nothing is as it seems. Nothing is as it was. The pattern of the checker board is fragmented. The elements surrounding it are broken.Triptych made up of three 30 x 30cms/ 12" x 12" boards

Acrylic and mixed media.

Framed together in dark grey wood
