THE MALECON

"Malecón is a word used in Spanish-speaking countries, and especially in nations of Latin America, for a stone-built embankment or esplanade along a waterfront".
The residency that I was a part of was very close to Chapala's Malecon and a place where brightly coloured clothes, kites, carpets, exciting and unusual foods and drinks were sold, it was a place of music, laughter, meetings, flirtations and dancing.
