Today I finished this rather crazy painting. It represents my mood. The title came to me because of a piece of music I was listening to, however the title also represents the weird and incomprehensible time we are living through right now.
I am half way through an exciting month long online course run by Nancy Hillis, who is an existential psychiatrist as well as an abstract painter, based in the USA. The class is based on five modules, it consists of video demonstrations, written course material, workbooks to keep up, and interaction with other participating artists in a private Facebook group. It was a joyful evening at the Sentinel Gallery last night. Kate's talk was fascinating and inspiring, followed by the most moving and insightful poems by Alex. How could I follow the impressive performances by those two?! But follow them I did. I found that the words came, I told my story and everybody said they enjoyed it. A wonderful evening all round. Well done Pru Green for organising it!
