NEW WORK, MARIE

I have now been in France for more than a month, sometimes with many people around me, sometimes alone. The weather has been lovely, the sun shines day after day. However every afternoon without fail a wind hits us, driving us indoors. This is the moment I go into my studio, turn on my music, and paint.

It has not been easy this year, I am very emotionally raw and need to find the peace in myself to connect with the right hand side of my brain and move to a mediative place where I can lose my logical self and get lost in a spiritual world of self expression. There is much to say that cannot be expressed in words. This piece is called AERIE. (50 x 50" acrylic & mixed media on canvas),

It holds much symbolism for me.
